Healthy Pregnancy Care Program

The Healthy Care Pregnancy Program (“HCPP”) is for all people who are pregnant,  newly parenting or up to 7 months postpartum who use (or have used) substances, want extra support and are not already well connected or accessing existing services.

The HCPP offers safe and confidential support so you don’t have to navigate this journey alone. Your HCPP Inreach Worker will walk alongside you and:

  • Help you identify and reach your goals
  • Coordinate Healthy Care Pregnancy meetings with your positive supports to collaborate and make a plan
  • Offer a menu of services and connect you to the ones you choose
  • Accompany you to intakes and appointments at your request
  • Support you through transitions in and out of the hospital and/or other bed-based programs.

Mothers for Recovery Support Group

Every Friday at 9:30 AM

At the Mothers for Recovery Support Group, we understand the unique challenges mothers face when seeking help for substance use. Our staff and participants have experienced the fear, shame, guilt, and judgment that can come with being a mother struggling with substance use. We know how hard it can be to share your story in a professional setting.

Here, you will find a safe space where there is no judgment—only understanding. As peers who have been where you are, we welcome you with open arms. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable. There is no pressure—just support from people who genuinely care.

Our Beliefs

  • All mothers love their children and want the best for them.
  • Every mother, with the right support, can build a thriving, healthy life for herself and her children.
  • The best recovery guides are those who have walked the journey themselves.
  • Every mother and child deserves a safe place to grow, learn, and thrive.
  • Each recovery journey is unique.
  • Addiction is a family disease.

What to Expect

Our support group provides a safe, confidential, and nurturing environment. Sessions are facilitated by a staff member in recovery, trained to support group environments, and occasionally joined by Elder Joanne.

Each session begins with a reading, followed by a chance for participants to share their struggles, successes, or thoughts. Sharing is optional and pressure-free. Participants can also offer or receive feedback if desired. Over time, we build trust, form meaningful relationships, and help each other create new, fulfilling lives.

Who Can Join

This group is open to anyone who identifies as a mother and is seeking or maintaining recovery from substance use.

  • You may or may not have custody of your children.
  • Your children may be adults, or you may not have had the opportunity to parent them.
  • If you are breastfeeding or have an infant, you are welcome to bring your baby.
  • Young children can join the free Mothers for Recovery Child Minding Program during sessions.

There are no agency referrals, fees, or long-term commitments required. You can join at any time and attend as often as it’s helpful to you. Simply show up on any Friday morning to get started.
